STINE—At his home, 416 West Washington avenue, May 3, 1925, Charles Stine, aged 32 years.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 5th, at 2 p.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel, Sedgwick Post G.A.R. will conduct their service at the grave.  Mr. Stine has resided in Santa Ana 42 years and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Georgia Stine and one brother, A.H. Stine of Los Angeles.

 

REMLEY—At the family home on Tustin avenue, Mrs. Flora J. Remley, aged 35 years, private services were held this afternoon at 3 o’clock under the direction of Winbigler’s.  Interment was made in Fairhaven cemetery.  Mrs. Remly was the mother of Mrs. Mary Bailey, Miss Maud Remley, Otis Remley and Hugh Scott, all residents of this city.

TAYLOR—At the family home, 1812 Orange avenue, May 5, 1925, Zachary Taylor, aged 74 years.  Funeral services will be held Friday, May 8, at 2:30 o’clock, from Winbigler’s Mission Funeral home.  Interment in Fairhaven cemetery.  He leaves five daughters and two sons, Mrs. James E. Graham, Mrs. Mattie Brown, Mrs. Ben F. Stolfa and Dorothy Taylor, of Santa Ana, Pearl Taylor, of Oklahoma City, Frank Taylor, Los Angeles, and Harry Taylor, of Indio, Calif.

 

ADAM—At El Modena, May 5, 1925, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Adam.  Services were held this morning 10 o’clock from the family residence under the direction of Winbigler’s.

 

TAYLOR—Zach Taylor, aged 75 years, passed away May 4th at the family residence, 1812 Orange avenue.  Services will be announced later by the Winbigler Mission Funeral home.

FUNERAL NOTICE—Notice of Change of Services—Time and date of services for Zachary Taylor, who passed away May 4, have been changed from Friday, May 8, to Saturday, May 9, at 10 a.m., from the Winbigler Mission Funeral home.  Such change was made necessary because of the arrival of his daughter, Miss Pearl Taylor, from Oklahoma City.

RICHARDS—Glenn Richards, aged 18 years, met accidental death, Thursday, May 7th.  Services will be held from the Winbigler Mission Funeral home, Monday, May 11th, at 2 p.m. with Rev. F.T. Porter officiating.  Interment will be made in the Fairhaven cemetery.  He is survived by his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Richards, of 107 Court street, and one sister, Mrs. Clark Cooter of Lamar, Colorado.

 

KAMP—Raymond Kamp, aged 20 years, passed away as results of accident, May 7th.  Services were held this afternoon, under the direction of the Winbigler Mission Funeral home, at the Methodist church at Glendora, at which city interment was made.

MOORE—At his home in Wintersburg, May 11, 1925, A.H. Moore, aged 43 years.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 13th, at 10 a.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.  Interment Fairhaven cemetery.

 

CLEVELAND—At the home of his daughter, Mrs. E.U. Dickinson, 820 North Birch street, May 10, 1925, N.B. Cleveland, aged 69 years.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 12th at 10 a.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.  Interment Fairhaven cemetery.  Mr. Cleveland is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nancey E. Cleveland, a daughter, Mrs. E.U. Dickinson of this city and one son, F.F. Cleveland of Whittier.

Yeary, aged 74 years, passed away Monday, May 11, 1925.  Services will be held from the Winbigler Mission Funeral home, Thursday, May 14, at 2:30 p.m.  Interment will be made in the Huntington Beach Cemetery.  Mr. Yeary is survived by his widow, Sarah Yeary of 640 North Shelton, two daughters, Mrs. G.M. Cover of Tustin, Mrs. J.C. Riley of Los Angeles, and two sons, Fred R. Yeary of Hinkley, California, and Don E. Yeary of this city.

Schrock, officiating.  Mr. Williams is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Florence Conner, of Inglewood, and Miss Cora L. Williams of Berkeley, and three sons, Judge R.Y. Williams, W.B. Porter, aged 74 years.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 19th, at 10 a.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.  Mr. Porter is survived by his wife, Carrie A. Blaeholder, aged 29 years.  Funeral services under direction of Smith and Tuthill, will be held Saturday, May 16th, at 2 p.m. from St. Johns Lutheran church, at Orange.  Mrs. Blaeholder is survived by her husband, Charles C. Blaeholder, and two children, Delores and William; her father, Jacob Krueger; a sister, Mrs. Len Tucker, and brother, Wm. F. Krueger, of Orange.

BEACH—At the home of his son, J.M. Beach, 1013 Riverine avenue, Charles Beach, aged 78 years.  Funeral services, Tuesday, May 19th at 2 p.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel, Rev. Will A. Betts officiating.  Interment in Fairhaven cemetery.  Mr. Beach leaves a son, J.M. Beach of 1013 Riverine avenue, and a daughter, Mrs. W.F. Lemon of Victoria, B.C.  He had been a resident of Orange county for 52 years, having come to Orange in 1873.

HAYES—In Santa Ana, May 23, 1925, Mrs. Zoe Hayes, aged 26 years.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 26, at 2 o’clock from Winbigler’s Mission Funeral home, Rev. Porter of the First Christian church officiating.  Interment in Fairhaven cemetery.  Mrs. Hayes was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Sherman of 301 East First street and leaves two small daughters Elizabeth and Mary Lon Hayes.

CAVANAUGH—Annie Cavanaugh, aged 85 years, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 1925, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.M. Craw, at Chino.  She was the mother of A.L. Cavanaugh of Long Beach, J.E. Cavanaugh of this city and Mrs. C.M. Craw of Chino and had been a resident of this vicinity for some 45 years.  Announcement of services will be made later by the Winbigler Mission Funeral home.

 

STEARNS—Lillie Richie Stearns, wife of W.M. Stearns, passed away at the age of 61 years at her home, 593 North Orange street, Orange, Wednesday, May 27, 1925.  Services will be held from the Winbigler Mission Funeral home, Friday, May 29th at 2 p.m. followed by interment in the Fairhaven cemetery.  She is survived, besides her husband, by five sons, Roland, Charles and Glenn Stearns of Santa Ana, Edwin and Chester G. Stearns of Orange; by two daughters, Mrs. Frank Partridge of Santa Ana and Mrs. Hazel Stewart of Orange; and by three brothers, Frank Richie of Orange, the Rev. George Richie of Los Angeles and the Rev. Arthur Richie of Sacramento.

SHAFFER—David R.S. Shaffer, aged 87 years, passed away at his home at Westminster, Thursday, May 28, 1925.  Services will be held from the Winbigler Mission Funeral home, Monday, June 1st at 2 p.m. with interment in the Los Alamitos cemetery.  Services will be conducted by his comrades of the Sedgwick Post of the G.A.R.  Mr. Shaffer is survived by his widow, Alice M. Shaffer of Los Angeles; one daughter, Mrs. Vesta D. Chappelle of Columbus, Ohio, also by Clyde Smith of Los Angeles and Will Robinson of Lankershim who had made their home with Mr. and Mrs. Shaffer since their childhood.  Mr. Shaffer had been a resident of Westminster for 26 years and of California for some 35 years, and was well known in this section.
