GRIFFIN—At his home, 1658 Palm avenue, January 1, 1925, L.F. Griffin, aged 43 years, husband of Lillie Griffin.  Funeral services tomorrow at 3 p.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.

 

CONNELL—Mrs. Minerva Burton Connell, aged 78 years, of 251 North Johnson street, Los Angeles.  Services will be held from the Winbigler Mission Funeral Home, Saturday, January 3 at 3:30 p.m.  Interment will be made in the Fairhaven cemetery.  Mrs. Connell was the mother of Ora Connell of Los Angeles, Mrs. P.S. Roper of this city and C.G. Burnett of Fresno, and H.D. Connell of Santa Ana.

 

SCHONLE—A.W. Schonle, aged 53 years, of Wintersburg.  Announcement of service will be made later by Winbiglers.  Mr. Schonle was the father of Harry Allys Schonle, Hattie Agnes Schonle, Viola D. Schonle, all of Wintersburg and Wm. A. Schonle of Gardena.

WALKER—At 1136 West Second street, January 5, 1925, Mary N. Walker, aged 49 years, wife of E.F. Walker and mother of two sons and two daughters.  Funeral services tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.

 

SPENCER—In Santa Ana, January 4, 1925, Nellie Ramona Spencer, aged 16 years.  Funeral arrangements in charge of Smith and Tuthill’s are being made for services and burial in Alhambra, Wednesday, January 7th.

DETWILER—Ezra H. Detwiler, aged 70 years, passed away at his home, 1128 West First street, January 6, 1925.  Services will be held from the Winbigler Mission Funeral home, Thursday, January 8th, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Wm. E. Roberts officiating.  Interment will be made in the Fairhaven cemetery.  Mr. Detwiler was the husband of Mrs. Lou E. Detwiler and the father of Mrs. E.H. Helt of this city.

 

STACEY—Andrew Stacey, of 606 Orange avenue, passed away January 6th at the age of 87 years.  Services will be held from the Winbigler Mission Funeral home, Thursday, January 8th at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. F.T. Porter of the First Christian church officiating with Masonic services being given at the chapel.  Interment will be made the following day, Friday, January 9th, at Hemet, where Mr. Stacey resided for some years and beside his wife who passed away several years ago.  Mr. Stacey is survived by his daughter, Mrs. A. pearl Magee of this city.

 

EVANS—At the home of her daughter, Mrs. E.E. Fairchild, in Garden Grove, January 7, 1925, Mrs. Ann E. Evans, aged 77 years.  Funeral services will be Friday, January 9 at 2 p.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.

GRIFFITH—Mrs. Mary Griffith, 80, died January 10 at her home on Ocean avenue, Huntington Beach.  Funeral services will be held from the Huntington Beach parlors Wednesday at 2 o’clock.

HISER—At Irvine, January 13, 1925.  Infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh F. Hiser.  Funeral services were held this afternoon at 3:30 from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.  Interment Fairhaven cemetery.

 

CULLINS—Jan. 13, 1925, C.N. Cullins of 1140 West Pine street, aged 72 years.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 15th at 10 a.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.  Interment Fairhaven cemetery.  Mr. Cullins leaves a wife, Mrs. Nellie E. Cullin, two daughters, Mrs. Emma Shields of Los Angeles and Mrs. Mamie Minter of Santa Ana.

 

ROHDE—At 1602 West Sixth street, January 13, 1925, Mrs. Anna R. Rohde, aged 78.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 15th at 2:30 p.m. from Trinity Lutheran church, corner Brown and East 6th street.  Interment Fairhaven cemetery, Smith and Tuthill in charge.  Deceased was the mother of Mrs. Bertha Rohn and Mr. W.J. Wohlers of this city.

 

DECKER—At his home, 217 South Main street, January 13, 1925, George W. Decker, aged 59 years.  Funeral services will be held Thursday January 15th at 2 p.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.  Interment Fairhaven cemetery, Rev. F.T. Porter officiating.  Santa Ana Lodge No 241, Masons, will conduct the services at the grave.  Mr. Decker had resided here 16 years and leaves a wife, Mrs. Pauline Decker, two daughters, Mrs. Edna Gowen, and Mrs. Eva Doyle, both of Santa Ana.

MacGILLIVARY—January 14, 1925, Alexander MacGillivary, of 1047 W. Fourth street, aged 64 years.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17th at 10:30 a.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.  Interment Fairhaven cemetery.  Rev. Otto Russell officiating.  Mr. MacGillivary leaves a wife, Mrs. Mae MacGillivary and three daughters, Mrs. Catherine Neville and Miss Eva MacGillivary of Ventura and Miss Naomi MacGillivary of Santa Ana.  Mr. MacGillivary had been a resident of Santa Ana for 24 years and died suddenly at Covina while visiting friends.

CLEM—Ervin J. Clem, aged 29 years, at the home of his mother in Newport Beach.  Funeral services will be held from Winbigler’s Mission Funeral home Monday afternoon 2 o’clock.  Interment in Fairhaven cemetery.

SCHROEDER—At Costa Mesa, Jan. 20, 1925, Mrs. Anna E. Schroeder.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 22 at 10:30 a.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel, interment Fairhaven cemetery.

 

WINTER—William Winter, aged 85 years, of 339 W. Nineteenth street.  Services will be held from the Winbigler Mission Funeral home, Thursday, January 22, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Will A. Betts, of the First Methodist church officiating.  Interment will be made at the Fairhaven cemetery where G.A.R. services will be held, he having been a member of the 13th Indiana Volunteers, having seen 4 years and 3 months of service.  Mr. Winter was the father of Charles W., Tessie O., and Cora A. Winter of this city and of Mrs. Bertha A. Murphy of Orange.

DAVIS—January 23.  At the family home, 920 North Sycamore, A.S. Davis, aged 70 years.  Husband of Mrs. Laura S. Davis.  Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Winbiglers.

 

GOETZ—At 322 East Stanford street, January 22, 1925, Mrs. Emma C. Goetz, aged 56 years, wife of William F. Goetz.  The body is being sent to Porterville, California today by Smith and Tuthill, where funeral services will be held.

MANN—Mrs. Isabell Mann, 1518 French street, aged 72 years, mother of Mrs. Ernest H. Dresser, lived here about 35 years.  Funeral services to be announced later from Winbigler’s Mission Funeral home.

MINIKEN—At his home, 1714 North Braodway, January 24, 1925, Don Lawton Miniken, aged 36 years.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 27th at 2 p.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.  Rev. W.L.H. Benton officiating.  Santa Ana Lodge B.P.O.E. will conduct services at the cemetery.

 

POULSEN—Alfred Pousen, of Owensmouth, passed away Saturday, January 24th at Burbank at the age of 39 years.  Services were held under the direction of Winbigler’s this afternoon from the Episcopal church of Orange, with the Rev. Clarkson officiating.  Interment was made in the Fairhaven cemetery where Masonic services were held.  Mr. Poulsen was the son-in-law of Mrs. W.W. Penman of Irvine.  He had been a resident of Owensmouth for the past seven years and is survived by his widow, Mrs. Marian Poulsen and two children, Althea, aged 12, and Alfred, aged 14 years.

 

MANN—Isabelle C. Mann, of 1518 French street, passed away Saturday, January 24th at the age of 71 years.  Services will be held from the Winbigler Mission Funeral home, Tuesday, January 27th with the Rev. Roberts of the First Presbyterian church officiating with interment in the Fairhaven cemetery.  Mrs. Mann was the mother of Mrs. Ernest Dresser of Tulare.

 

HANSON—Infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Hanson of Costa Mesa.  Services were held from the Winbigler Mission Funeral home this afternoon at 4 o’clock.  Interment was made in the Santa Ana cemetery.

 

NIXON—Bert G. Nixon, of Torrance.  Announcement of services will be made later by Winbigler’s Mission Funeral home.

 

KISER—At his home in Tustin, January 25, 1925, Lorenzo Brown Kiser, aged 77 years.  Funeral services will be held from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel at a date to be announced later.

LANKFORD—J.W. Lankford, of 2109 Greenleaf street, passed away January 27th at the age of 71 years.  Mr. Lankford was the husband of Mrs. Lena Lankford and the father of Mrs. Minnie Smith of Los Angeles, Mrs. Agnes Dowling and Mrs. E.A. Noe of this city and Mrs. Nettie Zimmer of Marietta, Ohio and the brother of Henry Lankford of Marietta, Ohio.  Announcement of date and time of service will be given later by Winbigler’s Mission Funeral home.

ANDERSON—At 409 Orange avenue, January 28, 1925, Mrs. Christiane Anderson, aged 73 years.   Funeral services will be held Friday, January 30th at 10 a.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.  Interment Fairhaven cemetery.  Mrs. Anderson was the mother of Mrs. H.E. Francisco of 409 Orange avenue.

 

DUFFIELD—At 500 South Flower street, January 28, 1925, George F. Duffield, aged 72 years.  Funeral services will be held Friday, January 30th at 2 p.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.  Interment Fairhaven cemetery.  Rev. F.T. Porter officiating.

 

ANDRE—January 27, 1925, in Santa Ana.  Mrs. Dell Andre, aged 68 years.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 29th at 1:30 p.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.  Interment Fairhaven cemetery.  Mrs. Andre was the mother of Roy Andre of Brawley and Ralph Andre of Lindsay, Calif., and had been a resident of Santa Ana for 44 years.

 

WALKER—Mrs. Louise Walker, 79, at her home in Pasadena.  Mrs. Walker is the mother of Mrs. A.J. Blanchard, of 617 South Broadway and Edward Walker, 525 East Walnut avenue, Santa Ana; and Mrs. Annette Martin and Mrs. George Sherman, of Pasadena.  The body will be shipped east to Canton, Ohio for burial.  Mrs. Martin and Mrs. Sherman will accompany the remains.

 

FUNERAL ANNOUNCEMENT—Services for J.W. Lankford, who passed away January 27th will be held from the Winbigler Mission Funeral home, Thursday, January 29th at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Will A. Betts of the First Methodist church officiating.  Interment will be made in the Fairhaven cemetery.

SEXTON—Alberta F. Sexton, wife of Fred Sexton of 420 Lemon street, Anaheim, passed away January 28th at the age of 64 years.  Services will be held from the Winbigler Mission Funeral home, Friday, January 30th at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. E.G. Bulgin of Portland, Ore., officiating.  Mrs. Sexton was the mother of Fredelle A. Young of Torrance, and Mr. Foster L. Sexton of Anaheim.

 

FUNERAL NOTICE—Funeral services for Mrs. Christiane Anderson have been postponed awaiting arrival of relatives from the East.  Notice of funeral will be announced later by Smith and Tuthill.

GETTY—Charles H. Getty, aged 69 years, passed away at his residence, 622 North Parton, Thursday, January 29th.  Services will be held from the Winbigler Mission Funeral home, Saturday, January 31st at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Benton officiating.  Interment following in the Fairhaven cemetery where Odd Fellow services will be held.  Surviving Mr. Getty, in this city there is, Mrs. Edith M. Getty, his widow, and Willbur K. Getty, his son.
