Van Hoy, aged 53 years, of 1221 East Third street.  Mrs. Van Hoy is survived by four sons and three daughters, F.P., D.W., Lee M., and Hugh W., and Misses Margaret and Annie Van Hoy, all of Santa Ana, and Mrs. Mary Pinnix of Bisbee, Arizona.  The time of the services will be announced later by Mills and Winbigler of the Mission Funeral home.

CRUMMIE—Mrs. Emily Crummie, aged 69, 1057 West Second street, February 2, 1921.  Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 a.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.

 

FUNERAL NOTICE—Services for Mrs. Lucy J. Van Hoy of 1221 East Third street, who died January 31, to be held at the Mills and Winbigler Mission Funeral home, have been postponed from Thursday at 10:30 a.m., until a date to be announced later owing to illness in the family. BEALL—David S. Beall, aged 60 years, Friday, February 4, 1921, at his home 523 East Third street.  Funeral services will b held Monday, February 7, from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.  Mr. Beall has been a resident here since 1904 and is survived by a wife and family.

 

FERGUSON—At his residence, 1334 East Fourth street, Santa Ana, on February 4, 1921, Dr. W.P. Ferguson, aged 79 years.  Dr. Ferguson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Catherine Ferguson and three sons, Angus V. of San Rafael, Cal., Byron of Alameda, Cal., and Perry of Douglass, Arizona.  Services will be held from the Mills and Winbigler Mission Funeral home next Monday, February 7, at 2 p.m.  Interment in Fairhaven cemetery under auspices of Santa Ana Masonic Lodge, No. 241.

SEXTON—Freegrace L. Sexton, aged 96 years, died February 6, 1921, at the residence of his son Fred L. Sexton, North Lemon street, Anaheim.  He leaves another son, W.H. Sexton of Arizona.  Mr. Sexton was a resident of Santa Ana for a number of years.  The family being well known here.  Several years ago they moved to Los Angeles and but a short time ago located in Anaheim.  Services from the Mills and Winbigler Mission Funeral home tomorrow, February 8, at 1:30 p.m.  Interment in Fairhaven cemetery under auspices of Sedgwick Post, No. 17, G.A.R.

HAMILTON—Mrs. Lauretta Hamilton, 309 East Tenth street, aged 81 years, February 16, 1921.  Services will be held Saturday, February 19, at 10 a.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.  Mrs. Hamilton was the wife of H.M. Hamilton, and the mother of W.W. Houseman of this city, and W.L. Houseman of Marshalltown, Ia.

 

PHIPPS—Mr. Emmett A. Phipps, aged 65 years, February 16, 1921, at his home, 1013 West Bishop street.  Services will be held Saturday, February 19, at 2:30 p.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.  Mr. Phipps was the father of Mrs. H.S. Heimerdinger of this city.

 

BROWN—Mrs. Mary Brown, Wednesday, February 16, 1921, at the home of here niece, Mrs. L.R. Stearns, Prospect and Fairhaven avenues.  Services will be held Friday, February 18, at 2 p.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.  Interment at Fairhaven cemetery.  Mrs. Brown was the sister of Mrs. D.T. Walters of Marysville, Mrs. John Dryer of Tustin, and Mrs. Douglas Van Horn of Brawley.

DANERI—Mrs. Catherine Jane Daneri, aged 71 years, February 22, 1921, at her home, 626 South Sycamore street.  Services will be held tomorrow, February 24, at 2 p.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.  Mrs. Daneri lived in Orange county for 42 years.  Her former home was at Capistrano.  She leaves a family of grown children.

CHENEY—T.D. Cheney, aged 82 years, February 23, 1921, at Tulare, Cal.  Funeral services will be announced later by Smith and Tuthill.  Mr. Cheney leaves a wife and three sons, W.J. Cheney of Santa Ana, and H.C. and C.D. Cheney of Tulare.

 

WATSON—Mrs. Sarah A. Watson, aged 73 years, February 22, 1921, at her home at Olive.  Funeral services will be held Friday, February 25 at 2 p.m. from the Christian church, Orange, Smith and Tuthill will have charge.  Mrs. Watson lived in Orange county for 46 years and leaves a family of grown children.

HATFIELD—Matilda Hatfield, 905 West Washington avenue, aged 79 years, Wednesday, February 23, 1921.  The body is at Smith and Tuthill’s undertaking parlors and will be shipped to Millerton, Ia. For burial.  Mrs. Hatfield was the aunt of Mrs. Charles Heinrich, and Dr. G.E. Hatfield of Tustin.

 

BELT—Mrs. Susan Belt, Garden Grove, aged 76 years, Wednesday, February 23, 1921.  Services will be held Friday, February 25 at 3:30 p.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel.  Mrs. Belt was the mother of Bertha, Emma and Henry Belt, Mrs. Cora Graham, and Mrs. Maude Sutton, all of Garden Grove.

BOYD—Leonard Boyd, aged 22 years, killed sometime in January while on duty with the Eleventh Engineers, U.S.A. in Panama.  Services tomorrow, March 1, at 1:30 p.m. from Smith and Tuthill’s chapel, under the auspices of the American Legion.

 

VAUGHN—Alonzo L. Vaughn, aged 67 years, February 27, 1921, at Capistrano.  Smith and Tuthill have shipped the body to Little Rock, Ark.
